One-way traffic plan for town high street
Keynsham High Street could become a one-way road.
People in the town have been urged to express their views on plans to change traffic flows to accommodate a £34 million redevelopment scheme.

One of the options is to make the High Street one-way, and an exhibition has been held where people could examine the proposals and make comments.
Traffic engineers have tested various options and Councillor Roger Symonds (Lib Dem, Combe Down), B&NES Council cabinet member for transport, said: "Getting the highways aspect of this project right is absolutely crucial to the long-term success of regenerating Keynsham town centre.
"Bath and North East Somerset Council has listened to the views of local people in response to a range of highways options we put forward that could accommodate the proposed regeneration."
The authority is proposing the High Street becomes southbound-only, with Ashton Way, which runs parallel, taking traffic in both directions.
Mr Symonds said: "We want local people to fully understand the impact this proposal would have on the town centre."
The council-backed development includes shops, new public spaces, a new library, and replacement council offices.
The town council has yet to come to an official view on the traffic plans.
Its chair, Councillor Gill Hellier, who stressed she was speaking personally, said she would prefer to see a fuller gyratory system involving Bath Hill.
"My main concern is that if people come down High Street, it will take them out of Keynsham when we want people to stay in the town."
