Team Bath Buccaneers go into this weekend's double header against Firebrands and Swansea having hit rock bottom in the Investec League Women's Conference West.

The postponement of last Saturday's match against fellow strugglers Trojans allowed Staines to leapfrog both teams with a 2-1 win at Exe.

Buccs, who have not played since November, will be looking for a lift when they travel to Bristol on Saturday before hosting Swansea the following day (both 12.30pm).

All of Buccs' games in the West Clubs Women's League fell victim to the wintry weather.

Buccs under-16s girls produced an exceptional display against Taunton Vale to progress to the regional finals of the England Hockey Cup as winners of their group.

Clio McKenna's second-half hat-trick added to Harriet Gallegos' strike in a 4-0 triumph for Buccs.
