Re Branch Road at Hinton Charterhouse, Bath.

The 'new' minor (or C class road), between Hinton Charterhouse on the B3110 and the A36, which was closed last week due to 'roadworks', is an improvement on what had been there before.

It has been resurfaced from the junction with the B3110 to the junction with the A36.

The humps have been smoothed, the verges trimmed and the road's camber countered. For now at least.

There is also a 'pedestrian' strip at the B3110 end for residents at that end of the road to walk 'on the road'.

However, cars which enter/leave the driveways of properties off the road do not have such 'protection'? A speed marker strip denotes speed limit change, not that many people take notice of it now or before.

The junction with the A36 is wider than the one with the B3110, but is still a 'blind' junction?

In relation to the traffic along the B3110 to Bath from Wellow and along Branch Road itself, at least this 'road' is on the level in comparison to other B or C class roads in the area which have fixed and mobile on and off road obstacles.
