Another treble for Tim gives champs edge
BUCCS MEN Tim Davenport scored a second successive hat-trick as TeamBath Buccaneers won by the odd goal in five against Guildford, despite picking up three yellow cards.
The EHL Men's Conference West champions took the lead from Davenport's deflected set-piece shot after 20 minutes but the visitors scrambled home an immediate equaliser.
Buccs restored their lead when a rapid attack finished with Davenport cleverly lifting the ball over keeper Simon Mason, only for Guildford to respond again.
However, the hosts would not be denied and clinched a 13th win of the season when Davenport struck with a powerful set-piece finish.
Buccs visit the University of Birmingham on Saturday.
George Meagher bagged his first hat-trick for the in-form Buccs C Admirals as they eased to a 7-1 away success at Swansea Bay.
