At a loose end this weekend? Here's our at-a-glance guide to ten things to do in Bath in the next few days
1. Watch top-class netball at the University of Bath tomorrow evening when Team Bath take on Surrey Storm. Doors open at 7pm, match starts at 8pm. For tickets ring 0844 8884412.
2. Take a trip back in time with the ever-popular Arthur Miller play The Crucible, which is being performed by Core Theatre Productions at The Rondo. It runs until Saturday evening and tickets are available on 01225 463362.
3. Call at Twerton Chippie on the way to see Bath City take on Grimsby at 3pm on Saturday as they bid to reach Wembley in the FA Trophy.
4. Pay a visit to Lacock Abbey to view the earliest of spring flowers with head gardener Sue Carter tomorrow from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
5. Be inspired by the Peter Burke exhibition Earthworks, which is at the Victoria Art Gallery until Sunday. All the sculptures are handcrafted from soils excavated within 20 miles of Bath.
6. Catch the return of one of the most popular shows to tour Bath in recent years, Avenue Q (pictured). The adult-themed puppet musical opened on Tuesday and runs until Sunday. To book tickets ring 01225 448844.
7. Join the women from Lansdown Ladies Cricket team on Saturday for fitness and fun, 11am to noon at Beechen Cliff School.
8. Support the appeal for a new pavilion at Bathford Cricket Club by enjoying a performance by Middle Stump at Widcombe Social Club tomorrow at 8.30pm. Admission costs £3.
9. Get outside and back to nature, embracing the cold conditions predicted this weekend by trying out Nigel Vile's countryside walk. See page 59 for details.
10. And if the weather does take a turn for the worst and we see snow, dust down your toboggan and embrace your inner child on the many hills in and around Bath.
