No stopping Colerne as Devizes are dismantled
Dorset & Wilts 3 North leaders Colerne produced one of their best performances to date as they went toe to toe with a powerful Devizes 2nd XV and come out 44-0 victors.
The home side totally dominated the first half and raced into a 24-0 lead, with number eight Ryan Willcox scoring twice and setting up winger Jamie Duncan for the fourth try after Shaun Allen had grabbed his first of the day.
Defiant defending prevented Devizes getting on the scoresheet during the early stages of the second half before Allen’s second try killed off their resistance.
Allen also produced a stunning one-handed pass to set up John Wheeler for the try of the day before man of the match Ed Ross deservedly wrapped up proceedings after linking with Joe Cattelona, who had also touched down in the second half.
