Teams in the Robson Taylor Chippenham Sunday League have been told there will be no more free weekends this season after fixtures were completely wiped out for the first time since December 1999.

All 31 scheduled league and cup matches were postponed on Sunday, meaning nearly 200 fixtures have fallen victim to the weather so far this season – making it one of the most disrupted campaigns in the league's 43-year history.

With the situation likely to get worse before it gets any better, the league has issued a warning to clubs that fixture secretary Andy Hillier will no longer give teams a free weekend for things such as stag dos or christenings.

Organisers are expecting more problems this weekend due to waterlogged pitches but are hoping a number of games will be able to go ahead.

Among the highlights are the quarter-finals of the Westernsport Trophies-sponsored WG Parr Trophy and the Premier Division showdown between table-topping Biddestone Social and second- placed Dog & Fox Ashley.

There could be new leaders in both Division 1 and 2 by Sunday evening, with Bradford News and Pheasant hoping to make the most of other teams' cup commitments.

The big game in Division 3 is the top-of-the-table clash between The Three Crowns United and Steeple Ashton Rangers, while Division 4 leaders British Lion also face a tough test of their title credentials against third-placed North Star B.
