A shop unit that has stood empty for almost two years has finally reopened.
The former Early Learning Centre in Cheap Street has this week reopened as a Bill's Restaurant.

The company got planning permission to refurbish the shop unit last summer and after six months of work has unveiled its latest venue.
It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as own brand groceries.

The new restaurant has created more than 50 jobs from managers to waiters, chefs and general kitchen staff.

Bath is slowly getting "up there" with other busy city's and the choice of venues is just what bath needs, but I wonder how the Roman baths kitchen feel about Bills opening across the road?”

“So yet another shop unit turned into yet another cafe/restaurant, but at least it says they have planning permission - is that the same as change of use though? They don't seem to care about A1/A3 usage any more. And I wonder how long they will be able to keep the trees on the narrow pavement before they are told to remove them? Or until someone walks off with them!”
