A 'red top' approach to gay porn?
I write re: your article 'Ex-Headteacher's Gay Porn Shame' in the Chronicle on June 25.
Your publishing of the recent article does your newspaper little credit in style or content.
This half-page story appeared, in precis, to read: "A man was disciplined by a former employer for not following internal rules even though he has retired from that profession, no harm was done to anyone, and the police were not interested."
The salacious headline makes me wonder whether the newspaper has adopted a new and unsolicited position of moral guardian to the local populace?
Is the fact that one of the individuals may be gay or have viewed pornography any of our, or your, business?
If the newspaper intends to campaign on an anti-gay and anti-pornography platform, please let us know how many of your employees are gay or have viewed pornography. (Or better still, don't, because we are really not interested).
Perhaps the Chronicle is re-launching itself as a "red-top", in which case can we look forward to the introduction of page three and the latest antics of Katie and Peter? Grow up.
