“Having moved to Bath 2 years ago from Scotland and being foodies, we have tried many of the Pubs and more up market restauarnts that Bath has to offer. However we have often been disappointed. The Old Crown in Weston is one of the few we feel has got it right. This is an honest review from an impartial newcomer. First things first, we come from Glasgow where (before anyone turns their noses up) good Restaurants and Bars are a plenty. If in Glasgow try places like Brian Mauls at Chardon Dior, and the Chip in Ashton Lane, before you discount this review. We rate both off them and these are the sort of places we enjoy. In Bath so far we have found the Circus restauarant, the Lyme Lounge, and the Old Crown to deliver what they say on the tin. The Old Crown is a good old fashioned village pub based in Weston Village. It is a 20 minute walk from Victoria Park near the centre of Bath, but it has the feel of a family run village pub. It feels warm and clean, and it serves decent wine, decent food, at decent prices. The owners Phil and Sharon are genuine friendly people who have turned around what only 18 months ago felt like a slightly tired and jaded place. The OLd Crown has a good Beer Garden, homely open fire and is not pretenious in any way. You feel welcome!! You can have a large glass of sauvignon blanc at less than a £5.00, and a bottle of Prosecco at under £15. I would describe the food as down to earth Pub Grub, at Pub Grub prices. Unlike many other places we have tried in Bath who charge you Mitchelen Star restauarnt prices for pub grub dressed up as Nouvelle Cuisine! Sorry Bath but you need to come back down to earth. Give the Old Crown a try, you won't be disappointed. Tricia ”

“This is a lovely pub, the original barstaff and new landlord and lady are always friendly and greet everyone with a smile, the food is lush and is always of high quality. The theme nights such as kareoke or the pub quiz are a good laugh. No matter when you go in this pub has good beer, good food and an opportunity to have a laugh with the regulars. Happy days!!”

“Discovered this pub the other day, was made very welcome by the landlord and landlady, had a fabulous meal, sat in the beautiful beer garden - not to be missed. I have only been here once before and I can see that since they have taken over they have made a huge improvement. Great pub.”
