First poster mix-up markets Bath's 'Royal Circus'
They’re both world-famous jewels in Bath’s crown.
But a marketing drive for rail firm First Great Western managed to mix up the Royal Crescent and the Circus.

A poster captioning the stunning 18th century crescent as “the Royal Circus” has been greeting passengers at FGW’s biggest station, London Paddington.
The firm has now replaced the poster with the correct version after the error was pointed out on Twitter.
FGW says an early draft produced by its marketing company for its First Great Westerners advertising campaign had been used by mistake.
The firm said today: “This was a dummy advert prepared by our agency during the tender process for our award-winning I’m a Great Westerner campaign, designed to promote some of the fantastic tourist destinations on the First Great Western network.
“The mistake was corrected before the campaign went live and the correct advert has appeared at dozens of sites – including in The Bath Chronicle’s sister titles.
“Unfortunately the unapproved version was printed and displayed at Paddington. It’s not appeared anywhere else, and has since been replaced with the correct version.”
A spokesman said FGW hoped that its overall campaign had hugely helped the tourist industry in the city and beyond.
The campaign has encouraged people to visit a range of places along its routes.
The chairman of Bath Independent Guest House Association, Les Redwood, said he was grateful for any publicity for the city.
“It’s great to see Bath out there – in whatever way.”
