    “Agree with you capndave, the boats should have been moved from the area, so will RLM take responsibility if the river continues to rise and the boats become a serious hazard, from previous experience I somehow doubt it.”

    “Have to agree with Ilovespaniels. Great pics.

    Shame we haven't got a floating cafe to swim to, or some electric cables being stretched to breaking, ready to pump 240 volts into the river. Would have been perfectly safe to have a market with thousands of people, prams, bikes a toddlers don't you think? Mustn't forget those little electric boats.

    Oh Yea I forgot this clause from a certain contract :-

    1. Ensure the moorings are vacated prior to (and in anticipation of) periods of flood:

    • when the moorings might become dangerous
    • undue pressure placed upon the Council's infra- structure or equipment
    • boats could become hazards to the bridges or other infra-structure.”
