No love lost for rugby rivals on Bath Chronicle's love seat

They usually spend their weekends as teammates on the rugby pitch.

But there will be no love lost between Irishman Ryan Caldwell and Englishman Dave Attwood as they prepare to cheer on their countries in a Six Nations clash on Sunday.

The Bath Rugby pair put their international differences aside as they tried out the Chronicle's love seat ahead of our special Valentine's Day promotion.

Cupid will be coming to SouthGate on Saturday, giving people the chance to pose with a loved one and have their photograph featured in the newspaper and online.

The aim is to spread a bit of romance ahead of February 14 and Krispy Kreme is now getting in on the action by donating 200 of its strawberry glaze doughnuts to give away with copies of the Chronicle.

People will be asked to pay £2 to get involved with the celebrations and for that they will get their picture taken on the sofa, a copy of the photograph emailed to them, a free Valentine's message in the Chronicle, and a goody bag containing the newspaper, sweets, badges and a balloon.

All of the pictures will be displayed in next week's edition of the paper and online at www.thisisbath.co.uk.

Photographers and the promotions team will be in SouthGate, outside lingerie shop Boux Avenue, between 11am and 4pm on Saturday.

Next week's Chronicle will also give readers the chance to win an ultimate romantic Valentine's Day prize, which includes a meal for two at Jamie's Italian, theatre tickets, an overnight stay in a top hotel and much more.
