Bath's other dance school

Pauline says that the Chronicle's report on her death mentions that hers was the only dance school in Bath during the war years. However, Pauline begs to differ.
She says that there was another large dance school at the top of Milsom Street which she herself attended starting when she was small and leaving only in 1947.
She writes: "It was possibly at number 19. The studio was up a long flight of stairs and was called the Lisa Jane School of Dancing and was run by a Mrs Jane Sylvester.
"We gave shows around Bath for charity including ones at the Pump Room, the Pavilion, Parade Gardens, a mission hall in Milk Street and St Christopher's School in North Road, Now King Edward's School."
This photograph from the old weekly Chronicle and Herald was taken in 1944 when Pauline was nine. She is on the far left and was then Pauline Bending.
She says the dancer on the far right is Valerie who still lives in Bath and second on the left is Yvonne.
