Why so long to widen a few pavements?
I write to endorse the recent comments of Mr Bryan of Darlington Place (Chronicle February 21) when he enquires about the fiasco taking place in the High Street.
Surely it cannot take so long to widen a few pavements?
I am sure we all await the finished article with great anticipation.
Unfortunately, I suspect that we will end up with an even more congested High Street than we have already (with customary pollution).

As a "real" Bathonian (born within the sound of abbey bells on a clear day!) I am passionate about my World Heritage "home" city.
I wonder what schemes are in the pipeline to soak up even more council tax payers money? Dorchester Street, Rossiter Road, Kingsmead Square – who knows? Fortunately, I now live in "exile" so I am spared B&NES council tax. I look forward to some discussion.
