Where would you impose a 20mph speed limit in Bath?
Councillors will today discuss introducing 20mph limits in Bath.
Tell us what you think. Is it a good idea? Will it make any difference to a city already suffering congestion?

Bath
People in Bath have already been having their say on twitter.
Chris Jenkins has tweeted: "Where in Bath is it possible to actually drive more than 20mph?"
And Carlos (carlosthejack4l) added: "Looks like the fastest way to get around Bath will literally be walking."
Aine McCarthy supported the idea - but only during the day.
She tweeted: "During the day it would work as traffic gets so bad (london rd) but at night or when the roads are quiet would be impractical."
Steve Hynd also supported the plan. He said on twitter: "20mph is safer and cleaner, it makes us more likely to walk and cycle + it enables our children to be independent!"
But Simon (simongreenacre) disagreed. He tweeted: "Not good idea - traffic in Bath is shocking enough at the moment."

crashmap.co.uk is a good way of seeing where accidents have been reported over the last few years - shows Cotswold road as the least of our concerns.”

“Dashers - please remember that the speed limit is not necessarily the legal top speed. You also have to drive according to conditions.”

“The danger is the person not paying attention to hazards in the environment. Cars are not the only hazards in the world.
If it was the driver not paying attention (mobile phone, eating, whatever) then it would be entirely their fault. This though, has nothing to do with speed.
Speed is only a factor IF an accident happens - making it a symptom, not the cause.”

“The cause is someone driving a car through a residential area. What do you think makes it a 'dangerous place'? The mother with a pushchair or the driver with a car?”
