Two hurt in car and motorcycle crash near Trowbridge
Two people were taken to hospital after a car collided with a motorbike near Trowbridge.
An 80-year-old woman driving a blue Ford Fiesta and a 23-year-old male motorcyclist were injured in the accident on the A363 Westbury Road between Yarnbrook and North Bradley at 6.45pm yesterday.

The B3097 Phillips Way and the roundabout at the junction of the A363 were still closed this morning while police examined the scene.
The two casualties were taken to the RUH in Bath and are said to be in a stable condition.

“Turning right or left? Not sure how you could confuse the flashing indicators. As a cyclist I am well used to motorists passing me then immediately cutting me up to turn left across my path. I have got used to covering the brake levers to avoid being wiped out.”

“Azurael - so you were on the LBR about to turn left into Jews Lane, yet apparently you were so far over to the middle or right of the road that there was space for a Focus to pass you on the left? Was it perhaps not you that was in the wrong place - maybe the driver did not see you indicate, but thought you were turning right instead?”

A driver in a Green Ford Focus overtook me on the inside as I indicated left to turn onto Jews Lane off the Lower Bristol Road a few days ago. Good thing I saw him, else I'd just be another stain on the pavement right now.”
