In-form Kyle Eastmond happy to play anywhere to help Bath Rugby
For a player who appears to have the world at his feet, Kyle Eastmond is refreshingly grounded.
The Bath Rugby back is less than six months into his first full season since switching codes but has already received international recognition with England Saxons.

Further honours are expected to come Eastmond’s way in the future but the 23-year-old is determined to simply take it one step at a time.
“The Saxons call was a little bit of a shock but I don’t concentrate on anything but doing well for Bath and my team-mates,” said Eastmond, who first arrived at The Rec in late 2011 but had his first season blighted by injuries.

“Anything that comes with that is great but first and foremost I want to do my best for Bath and we’ll see where it goes from there.
“Being really inexperienced in rugby union, it was good to be around different players, different coaches and a different environment.
“It was great for me. It can only help me as a rugby player.
“It was a couple of weeks that I really enjoyed and I think I benefited from it.
“I just hope I can keep improving with each week and each game to become a better player.”
Eastmond is thought of so highly at Bath that Gary Gold and his coaching staff have gradually moved him in field from wing to centre in order to get him in possession more frequently.
“I’m running out of new options now but I’m just enjoying playing wherever I am put,” said Eastmond.
“If it helps the team out and benefits them then great, I’m willing to do it.”
