There may not be a Glastonbury Festival this year but Glastonbury Fringe promises 11 days of performances, workshops and exhibits as colourful and diverse as the town itself.

The Fringe starts on June 21 with a free event in St Dunstan’s car park, featuring the cream of Glastonbury’s poets and street performers. It carries on through to Sunday, July 1, with more than 100 independently organised arts events confirmed so far, and even more in the pipeline.

Music dominates, with anything from rock to Bach, plus dance, art, poetry, film, theatre, crafts and more.

A wealth of local talent will be sparked by some impressive imports.
