A feast of football
Avon and Newbridge will stage a feast of football at Hicks Field, Batheaston, on Saturday.
An eight-a-side tournament featuring a number of the leading Bath & District League sides is the highlight of a day of family fun.
Entertainment includes music from a number of DJs, a bouncy castle, rodeo bull and large television screens beaming the South Africa v England rugby clash and Holland v Denmark and Portugal v Germany in Euro 2012. A licensed bar and barbecue will also be in operation.
The opening matches kick- off at 10am and the teams involved include Avon, Newbridge, NFC Legends, Bear Flat, Batheaston, Booyas, Larkhall Legends, Durbin, Trowbridge House, World 11, Bath City Supporters, The Assembly Inn, Metro, Walcot Wanderers and Old Crown Weston.
