Music for Awhile
Adrian Partington - Conductor
Vocal soloists
This bite-sized family-friendly introduction to Handel's Messiah returns for its third annual outing - a great way to introduce children to Handel's masterpiece with this condensed performance taking in some of the favourite highlights in under an hour.
With large choir, vocal soloists and the delightful playing of the superb orchestra Music for Awhile (playing on period instruments), expect any child to be mesmerized by the sounds created live right before them and enthralled by the music of some of the favourite numbers from Handel's Messiah, including, of course, the most famous of them all - the 'Hallelujah' chorus. 4.30pm start - finished by 5.30pm.
The perfect start to any family Christmas!
Adults £5, accompanied children under 18 FREE. Book online at http://tinyurl.com/8oqvdwf from Colston Hall box office (tel: 0117 922 3686), or at the door
Want to hear more? The choir performs the whole work (from memory!) at the Colston Hall at 7.30pm the same day. See http://tinyurl.com/3fe7ko3 for details.
