“Right. That's is finally it. I have put up with the garish colours, the 50% ad content, and even the ridiculous "links" that spawn totally unrelated adverts if you're clumsy enough to wave your mouse pointer in their general direction. I have put up with the fact that this website does not support the very web links that the web was invented for. I have even put up with the archaic limitations of the comments function.

But tonight, two more ad strips have appeared; one on each side of my screen. They are filled with pictures of attractive young women and tagged with "single and ready to date", "I am waiting for you", "you look handsome", "like to play games" etc etc etc etc.

I have a wife and a daughter. I find myself browsing the website of my local newspaper whilst hovering over the close button just in case one of them enters the room.
