“Dropping the speed limit further is not going to help since there are already a significant proportion of drivers ignoring the limit now; the limit will just be more widely flouted and the small number of drivers who do tend to crash will still go far too fast for the road.
The road is not up to the standard one would expect of a road linking a motorway to a major town in that area - but fixing it will involve substantial and expensive engineering.”

“Yes, very good. However, you may think differently if you are struck by the aforementioned driver while you are driving (carefully and within the speed limit) on your way home from work one day.
Luckily I wasn't hurt but my vehicle has been written off. What do you suggest is done about it?!”
