A variety of fun craft sessions are on offer at Bath & North East Somerset Council's museums this half term for children and families to create their own historic games, Valentine's Day treats and colourful artworks.

The Roman Baths will be running free "Roman Revels - Make Merels" family drop-in sessions from Sunday 10 to Saturday 16 February, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. Children can make their own version of "Merels", a Roman strategy board game suitable for ages 5-11, and play it with their friends. Admission to the Roman Baths is free to Discovery Card holders.

Free "A Very Valentine" drop-in events at the Fashion Museum on Tuesday 12 February, from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm, offer the chance to get ready for Valentine's Day by making a range of beautiful treats. Entry to the Museum is free for Discovery Card holders.

Visitors to the Victoria Art Gallery can get their creative juices flowing with "Faces from the Past" – hosted by the Young @ Art Club on Thursday 14 February – which encourages children aged 3-7 to enjoy the Gallery's special paintings and re-create faces from different periods in history.

Both Victoria Art Gallery workshops cost £4 per child and run from 10.30am to 12noon and 1.30pm to 3pm on their respective days. All children must be accompanied by an adult and places must be booked in advance on 01225 477233.
