These are among the latest cases to be dealt with by Bath Magistrates' Court.

Janet Power, 56, of Julian House, Manvers Street, was fined £160 and ordered to pay £80 compensation for two counts of assault by beating.

Terry Gapper, 47, of Springfield, Peasedown St John, was fined £755 and disqualified from driving for 16 months for driving while over the legal alcohol limit and driving without due care and attention.

Leon Krisciunas, 27, of Frederick Avenue, Peasedown St John, was given a community order and ordered to pay £178 compensation for shoplifting, namely stealing a quantity of meat worth £128, receiving stolen goods and being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit.

Daniel Haines, 58, of Newton Road, Twerton, was fined £37 for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour while subject to a conditional discharge.

Joe O'Leary, 43, of Eckweek Road, Peasedown St John, was given a community order and ordered to pay £100 compensation for four counts of assault by beating.

Henryk Poreba, 32, of Poolemead Road, Twerton, was given a 12-month conditional discharge for shoplifting, namely stealing make-up from Boots.

Aaron Hannah, 24, of Somerdale View, Bath, was given an absolute discharge and ordered to pay £160 for criminal damage.

Marcin Mendowicz, 30, of Snow Hill House, Bath, was given a six-month conditional discharge for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.

Stuart Benham, 27, of Sheridan Road, Bath, was given a community order, a curfew and an electronic tag for theft, namely stealing a sat-nav, a mobile phone and two sets of keys from a car.

Christopher Eyles, 54, of Lower Bristol Road, was given a 12-month conditional discharge for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
