They may be only 12 years old but three youngsters from Peasedown St John are helping to organise one of Britain's foremost flower shows.

Writhlington School pupils Caitlin Carter, Aaron Rabbits and Nathan Curtis are helping to run the British Orchid Congress, which their school is hosting from next Friday until next Sunday.

Writhlington has its own orchid-growing project and the pupils will be looking after visiting orchid traders from as far afield as Germany and Taiwan.

Aaron said: "We are delighted to have won our bid to host the show. It will be the biggest orchid event to have come to this area and a chance for people to see and buy orchids that they have never seen before."
