Your chance to get a peep at the man behind the David Mitchell TV personality
Comedian, actor and writer David Mitchell, star of the BBC TV sketch show That Mitchell and Webb Look, will be launching his new and first ever book in Bath on October 16.
The date, which is a bit of a coup for Bath bookshop Topping & Co in The Paragon, is the spectacular closing event in the shop's autumn book festival about which full details can be found on page 9 of today's Chronicle. The shop only heard late yesterday morning that David had agreed to give the Bath talk which will be about his life and life in general. It is one of only a handful of talks that he will giving to promote the book.
Tickets are now on sale for the event – for which a final venue had still to be fixed at the time of going to press – at £10/12 fully redeemable against the book Back Story published by HarperCollins at £20.
David, know for his inappropriate anger on TV panel shows such as QI, Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You, his look of permanent discomfort on Channel 4 sex comedy Peep Show and his online commenter-baiting in The Observer has attracted a huge following in recent years.

The duo have written and starred in several sketch shows including most recently That Mitchell and Webb Look.
