Last chance for your Bath community group to win a share of £15,000

Community groups in Bath has just days left to win a share of a £15,000 cash giveaway.

The Wish campaign, run by the Bath Chronicle and BMI Bath Clinic, has a prize pot of £15,000 on offer.

Charities, schools, groups and organisations are being invited to apply for the money, with 20 shortlisted by the judges guaranteed to walk away with £100 and in the running to win up to £5,000.

Then it is up to Bath Chronicle readers to decide who wins what, with a first prize of £5,000, second £3,000, third prize £2,000 and six grants of £500, three of £400 and a further eight of £100.

The more votes a group gets, the bigger their chance of winning more money.

So are you involved with a group, school, or organisation that needs money for a specific project?

If so, why not enter? People have until Wednesday, January 30 to nominate and judging will then take place and the shortlisted groups will be featured in the paper on Thursday, February 7, when readers will have three weeks to vote for their favourite.

How do I nominate my local Community group?

STEP 1

You can enter online at www.thisisbath.co.uk/wish or by emailing promotions@bathchron.co.uk.

All entries must be in by noon on January 30. If you are nominating a group please ensure they are aware you are entering them and that they are a registered charity or non-profit group.

We’ll feature details of as many of the nominated groups in the newspaper as possible. This is a great chance to let everyone know what you’d do with the money if you won – and gives you the opportunity to drum up support from your local community.

STEP 2

Once the closing date for entry has passed, our panel of judges will determine our shortlist of 20 nominations. We will send out a starter pack to each accepted group to help them spread the word in their community and ensure everyone is aware of what to do next to win as much money as possible.

STEP 3

We will print voting tokens in the Bath Chronicle every week from February 7 through to February 28. Each token will have a different ‘monetary value’. The aim is to collect as many tokens as possible, and encourage the people in your local community to do the same.

STEP 4

The prizes will be awarded to the groups which submit the most tokens. The more tokens you collect, the higher chance you have at winning the top cash prizes.

STEP 5

All winning groups will be invited to a presentation evening at BMI Bath Clinic to receive their cheque.
