High waisted bottoms with a polka dot design are really on season and the high-waisted style gives the illusion of elongated legs. They’re also great for the fuller-busted and larger hipped among us as they swoop up any potential problem areas and accentuate curves. Here’s a great tip for toning up those elongated looks to help with the confident beach walk swagger.

Best exercise? Thigh squats:

Regular bicycle riding is great for getting those thighs into shape. Squats also work great when it comes to toning your thighs. Feet should be slightly in front and at a hips width apart as you stand against a wall, lower your rear end towards the ground. When the knees approach a 90 degree angle, exhale your breath, and push yourself back up to your starting position. Two sets of ten make for a great start.

Cut outs

They come in a range of styles, shapes and with straps and are set to be even bigger this coming season. They accentuate various areas of the body with their gorgeous cut out sides and criss-cross straps so it pays to do a few simple toning exercises to work those oblique muscles.

Best exercise? Toning your oblique muscles:

Start off lay on your back with your knees bent up. Sit up an inch from the floor so your face can just about see your knees. Arms lay flat by your side with palms facing down to the ground. With your left arm, touch your ankle bone by leaning to the left and not moving your head. Repeat this on your right side alternating between left and right. A good start is to do 3 sets of 20.

Maillot swimsuits

For the elegant, classy and yet so feminine look by the pool you’ll love the delicate maillot swimwear fashion range. This is great news for the tummy too as the maillot covers the majority of the torso. Shoulders and arms will be on show with this piece so it’s worth investing time in some toning exercises for these areas.

Best exercises? Rowing and lifting dumbbells:

For beautifully sculpted shoulders and to help tone the back rowing is great workout. And to get that extra bit of toning to the arms dumbbells work wonders. It’s advisable to start on light weights, 1.5kg and work your way up as repetition aids the workout. Overhead tricep extension gives your arms a great tone, stand with one 4kg dumbbell above your head with elbows bent, relax the shoulders, then extend your elbows until your arms are vertical to the floor. Inhale and come back to the start position, three sets of 12 makes for a great workout.
