Young feet full of dance
A showcase of nearly a dozen concerts featuring more than 500 young dancers from in and around Bath is launched tonight.
Altogether there will be eight Spellbound shows featuring dancers aged between three and 18 from the Dorothy Coleborn School of Dancing over the next couple of weeks at Hayesfield Lower School, as well as two on Sunday March 10 at the Theatre Royal.
Ollie Gardner, who appeared as Billy Elliot in the West End, will be dancing a solo in the show, which takes its audience on a journey through popular musicals and fairy tales.
The show has been created and directed by Annette Hind and is her fifth show on such a scale.

Annette said: "We have also touched on the darker side of magic with songs from Wicked and Thriller. All of these West End shows have had our pupils perform in them. We perform our school show every five years and this year we are excited to be performing hip hop and street dance."
The dancers will be performing eight shows at Hayesfield, starting tonight at 7pm.
This is followed by shows tomorrow at 7pm, Saturday at 3pm and 7pm, Friday March 15 at 7pm and Saturday March 16 at 11am, 3pm and 7pm. The Theatre Royal shows on Sunday March 10 are at 3pm and 7pm.
Rehearsals have been going on since last Easter, and more than 1,000 costumes have been made by Carole Sheringham-Smith and a team of helpers.
Tickets can be bought from the dancing school on 01225 335087 and all the details are on the website www.dorothycoleborn.co.uk.
