Young driver killed in M4 tragedy
A 20-year-old Bath woman whose vehicle crashed on the M4 has been killed after being struck by another car.
The woman's car left the carriageway of the slip road coming off the motorway at junction 19 to the north of Bristol at around 1am this morning.

The woman, understood to be the driver, got out and was struck by a passing vehicle. She died at the scene.
The accident led to the closure of the M4 for several hours.

Duty Inspector Rob Pearson said: "For some reason the person left the car and wandered onto the live carriageway where they were struck by numerous vehicles. It is a very sad incident."
Police are now appealing for witnesses and information following the tragedy.
.A spokesman said: "Police are keen to hear from anyone driving in the area at this time, in particular anyone who saw a vehicle lose control and leave the carriageway."
