X Factor hopeful Jahmene Douglas is going live
Singer Jahmene Douglas, who grew up in Peasedown St John, has made it through the first live show on the X Factor.
The 21-year-old singer, who spent much of his childhood in the area, won the support of the public with his rendition of John Lennon's Imagine.
Jahmene, who now lives in Swindon, was praised by judge Tulisa Contostavlos.
She said: "You have one of the strongest male vocals this competition has ever seen. That blew me away, well done."

He also won the support of the late Beatles star's wife Yoko Ono, who tweeted saying "I just saw & heard a recording of @JahmeneDouglas singing Imagine on #XFactor UK – it was beautiful, Jahmene! I love you! yoko"
Jahmene is now working with his mentor Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger on a song that will fit with the love and heartbreak theme for this weekend's show.
