Woman's story of police life
A Bath policewoman has enjoyed an impressive turnout at a launch event for her debut novel.
DC Sandy Osborne has drawn on her own experiences in the force to write Girl Cop, the fictional tale of a female officer starting out on her career. More than 180 people attended the launch at Waterstones, in Milsom Street, which included a talk from DC Osborne about how she has juggled her writing with her job in the police.
The 47-year-old mother-of- two said: "It has taken me five years to make my dream of being published a reality.
"I am so proud to finally see my novel on the shelves and be able to support my favourite charities from the proceeds."
