Surfaces will remain wet after continued showers of rain, sleet and snow, allowing ice to form, the Met Office says.

The wind warning calls on the public to be aware of debris being blown around by strong gusts, and says some branches or trees could be brought down.

There may be localised travel disruption, and localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes.

Drive with care, especially on exposed routes, the Met Office says.

Bath is set to see heavy rain overnight on Monday, turning to sleet by around 3am on Tuesday.

Light snow is forecast from around 6am until midday tomorrow, and temperatures could feel as low as -4C. Wind gusts are expected to vary between 32mph and 41mph.

Light rain is expected to replace snow from around midday on Tuesday, but showers are due to subside by around 3pm. Cloudy skies are forecast overnight and throughout Wednesday, with a few sunny intervals.

Strong winds are expected to continue, reaching speeds of up to 36mph, and temperatures could feel as low as -3C.

Thursday and Friday are set to be cloudy with a few showers, and no wind gusts are forecast. Thursday will be a cold day however – temperatures could feel as low as -5C.

Friday should feel a little milder – between -1C and 1C, the Met Office says.
