Sixty years ago, when he took charge of the crown jewels on the eve of the coronation, she promised to find him, should she ever reach her diamond jubilee and he his 90th birthday. Maurice's wife, Helena, is convinced he has never met the Queen. Katie, his nurse, thinks it's time he did. Aged eighty-nine and failing fast, Maurice remains steadfast in his conviction that the Queen is coming to tea and his 90th birthday is one worth waiting for. Will either of them make it?

Maurice's Jubilee is a funny and moving exploration of one man's enduring commitment to a dream. Directed by multiple Fringe First winner Hannah Eidinow, Nichola McAuliffe's new play was one of the highlights of last year's Edinburgh Festival.

Olivier Award-winning Julian Glover has appeared in many films including Harry Potter, The Empire Strikes Back and the Bond film For Your Eyes Only. On TV he has been in Doctor Who and on stage in many Royal Shakespeare company and National Theatre productions.

Sheila Reid has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in theatre, television and film. Recently, Sheila has been best known for playing Madge Harvey in five series of ITV's Benidorm, a comedy drama which has won two National Television Awards and a BAFTA nomination. Her most recent appearances at the Theatre Royal Bath include the National Theatre production of The Good Hope in 2002 and Simon Stephen's acclaimed 7/7 drama Pornography in 2009.

Nichola won The Stage Edinburgh Award 2012 for Best Actress for her role as Katie in Maurice's Jubilee a new play that follows hot on the heels of the international success enjoyed by her last play A British Subject.

Last year she received acclaim for her performance as Miss Shepherd in Alan Bennett's The Lady in the Van, which toured to the Theatre Royal Bath in June. Most recently, Nichola starred as the Wicked Queen in the 2012 pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Theatre Royal Bath.
