Win DVDs and goodies
Micmacs (12A) is playing at selected cinemas this coming week and the Little Theatre Bath is one of them.
The new, modern-day fairytale from director Jean-Pierre Jeunet (
Delicatessen
,
Amelie
) is a visually arresting tale of one man's efforts to bring down the weapons manufacturers who have destroyed his life.
Orphaned at an early age when a landmine kills his father in the middle of the Moroccan desert, dreamer Bazil (Dany Boon) suffers a second tragedy when he is caught in the crossfire of a drive-by shooting.
He wakes with a bullet lodged in his brain, leaving him teetering precariously on the brink of death, and one false move could be his last. Homeless and alone in the world, Bazil discovers a menagerie of misfits, who fashion discarded materials into useful items from a subterranean base in a junkyard.
Aided by Remington (Omar Sy), Calculator (Marie-Julie Baup), Buster (Dominique Pinon), Slammer (Jean-Pierre Marielle), Elastic Girl (Julie Ferrier), Tiny Pete (Michel Cremades) and Mama Chow (Yolande Moreau), Bazil wreaks revenge on rival arms dealers.
This week the Little is offering readers the chance to win five DVDs –
