Wiltshire Council to help fund £6m for pedestrian railway improvements
Wiltshire Council and the Department of Transport will fund £6 million into improving cyclist and pedestrian facilities at railway stations across Wiltshire.
The scheme is to help fund more secure bike facilities and safer routes to stations for pedestrians.

The funding will help improve facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
Stations that will receive these improvements through the funding are: Chippenham, Warminster, Trowbridge and Melksham.
Salisbury will also have a bus interchange system which will cost £500,000 and pedestrian and cycle links will be built costing £350,000.

Talks are still being held on whether to introduce more train services between Westbury and Swindon on the TransWilts line.
Wiltshire Council and the Department of Transport will be combining funding for this project.
