Wilsons ride to the top
Peter Wilson, Bath Cycling Club's super-veteran time-trialist, had a busy weekend, narrowly missing out on a new best in the Alton CC 25-mile time-trial in Hampshire when he clocked 1.07:52hrs.
He then teamed up with wife Janet, who is recovering from illness, to compete in the Reading Wheelers 10-mile tandem race from Theale to Pangbourne.

David Summers in action in the 12-hour race
The event was dogged by cross winds but the Wilsons' time of 29:02mins was fast enough secure first place in their category.
David Summers put his endurance skills to the test when he competed in the Welsh Cycling Association 12-hour event, incorporating the Western Time Trial Association race.
The Bath cyclist managed to complete an impressive 235.253 miles during the 12 hours to secure 14th place overall behind winner Sean Childs of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines CA, who covered 277.407 miles.
Summers' distance was good enough to place him second in the West Best All Rounder competition behind Andy Cook of Chippenham & District Wheelers.
The previous weekend, Summers had clocked 58:16 for ninth place in the Swindon Hardrider event over 23 hilly miles, while partner Aileen Brown was the first lady home in 1.15:0.
