Entries for Weston village flower show must be in by September 2 at 5pm.

The show, which takes place on Saturday September 5 at Weston All Saints Centre, will be opened by poet, singer and farmer John Osborne at 2.30pm. He will also present the 16 trophies awarded in the 90 classes for vegetables, fruit, flowers, handicrafts, art and wine.

Programmes are available at florist jonquil and estate agent Kit Johnson in the High Street. Proceeds will go to local organisations.
