Weather warning . . . more snow is on the way for Bath
Bath was on snow alert today with warnings that up to 10cm (4in) could fall in some areas.
Drivers could face treacherous conditions on the roads during tomorrow's rush hour as the snow lingers.

And as the snow pushes towards the West it could leave behind the risk of ice.
The question is not if it will snow but when and how much will fall.
The latest forecasts suggest rain in the north of the country will turn to snow as it sinks south.
Snow is expected to hit the Bath area around midnight leaving a covering of up to 10cm.
Highest ground is set to be worst hit but snow will settle on lower levels.
The BBC said: "Outbreaks of rain, sleet and then snow will spread to most parts overnight.
"The snow is likely to settle at all levels, with 5-10cm possible in places by dawn."
The Met Office has issued an “amber” warning instructing people in the north of England to be prepared for widespread ice, while “yellow” warnings for snow and ice are in place in a number of English, Welsh and Scottish regions.
The blast of snow is expected to last into tomorrow before clearing by the weekend leaving cloud and drizzle.
Nick Prebble, forecaster for MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said: “At the weekend and next week it won’t be as bitterly cold, but it is certainly still going to feel very chilly."

“Well to be fair and balanced in my criticism, I do have to say a Whoop Whoop! for BaNES, not sure if they have been reading the detailed information in these pages, or they have an insider posting under a pseudo name and feeding back for them, but for once the trunk and key secondary roads seemed well gritted and were effectively clearing with plenty of melt water from early hours despite much more snow than last Thursday – so it's a well done from me!"”

“Because God has a sense of humour.
Credit where credit's due though - God failed to embarrass the council this time; the roads were clear.”

How's that work, then? Why doesn't it float up to Scotland?

“...and as usual nobody will bother to shovel the pavements. Folk will trample the little bit of snow to sheet ice within no time! The 'gritters' are just a very sad anual joke! Train companies will once again be in their element by saving a fortune on fuel by not bothering to supply anywhere near enough rolling stock. They will 'quote' all the usual excuses (like they are new) as to why there is NO train standing at platform blaaa!
It's been the same since the day I was born! Jan, 65 years ago!
We should rename it as The United Kingdumb!”

“We might get a light dusting of snow so that the grass can still be seen in places, but disruption will be on a chaotic scale.”

“I would also like to register my right to moan. If I don't get to my job tomorrow because someone else hasn't done theirs, rest assured I will be straight back here to whine about it!”
