Walcot RFC under-18s extended their winning run with an 18-0 success at Frome, strengthening their grip on third place in Division 1 of the Dorset & Wilts League.

The packs were well matched in the scrum and lineout but Walcot’s tactic of running the ball from deep, coupled with determined defending, ultimately proved decisive.

Full-back Ross Newman was then rewarded for his incisive running when he touched down to put Walcot 18-0 up at the break.
