Green excels as Buccs earn vital victory
BUCCS LADIES Player of the match Vicki Green made some crucial late saves to ensure TeamBath Buccaneers' 1sts secured a vital 1-0 win at Buckingham in the EHL Women's Conference West.
The decisive goal came midway through the second half when Helen Tully received the ball on top of the circle before turning to play in Mary Douglas, whose composed strike found the back of the net.

Firm defending from Nicky Wilson and Rachel Jackson helped to keep the home side at bay before Green produced her late heroics to secure Buccs' first win of 2010.
The 2nds made full use of their large squad as they came from behind to beat Chippenham 2-1.
A reshuffle helped them gain control of the match and led to goals for Catherine Bolland and Dani Black.
Black was on target again with the only goal of the game as Buccs then claimed a notable victory over second-placed Falmouth.
Four fantastic finishes from Zoe Wood, Pip Ashman and Claire Thomas (2) earned Buccs' 4ths a victory at Mendip.
And with other results going their way, the 4-1 success was enough to wrap up the Wessex Division 2 title with three games to spare.
Buccs' 6ths did not know whether they would have enough players to fulfil their fixture at Devizes 3rds but scraped a team together – and promptly ran out 7-1 victors.
