Colerne Village Hall now has its first guaranteed income since it was built almost 60 years ago after solar panels were installed on its roof.

The hall was given a £5,000 grant from Wiltshire Council's Corsham Area Board and the committee matched the funding itself to install the 21 panels.

Keynsham Lions Club is seeking young volunteers who are willing to get their feet wet to help with the town's annual duck race.

On Sunday, July 1, the club will launch 2,000 plastic yellow ducks into the River Chew from the bridge at the bandstand and the ducks will then float down river to the finish line near to the railway bridge over the river.
