She said: "I am pleased with how it is all sounding, it has exceeded my expectations.

"It is just mental how many people have viewed the video on YouTube, I didn't expect that at all.

"Please Don't Say You Love Me has a pop/folk vibe, and I play the guitar on it as well as sing."

Gabrielle, who lives near Chippenham, Wiltshire, has been playing the guitar and keyboard since she was young, but a few years ago started singing as well.

The first three singles she self-released have sold more than 60,000 copies. Her track Home was made single of the week on iTunes, and has had more than 1.6 million views on YouTube.

She will be performing at the Ring O' Bells pub at Compton Martin in the Chew Valley – which is owned by a group of friends including Parlophone president Miles Leonard – for a Hallowe'en party on October 31.

The free event takes place from 7.30pm onwards, and Gabrielle said: "I am really looking forward to the gig, it will be a good night.

"It will be good to perform in front of people local to my home town."

Her UK tour will also see her play the Thekla in Bristol on November 20.
