    “WOW!!! What great news !!!! I'm not sure at which to be more amazed - that anyone actually thought this was news, given that it was gone before we knew about it, or that the local authority actually did something useful.

    But come on Chron, don't be shy, give us all the facts:- what sort of tree, how tall was it, what time to did it fall, how long was it there before it was removed, how long were the traffic queues, do you have any photos, were any nesting birds or other wildlife rendered homeless by this loss of habitat..........”
