Unlucky Victor crashes out after promising start to race
There were many positives for Bradford biker Victor Cox to take from last weekend's British Superstock 1000 Championship race at Brands Hatch – despite it ending in a crash.
With confidence growing in his Blackhorse Kawasaki Team machine, Cox was able to push faster during every session and eventually qualified an impressive ninth on the grid.

A good start to the race itself saw him quickly move up to fifth and a podium place looked on the cards. However, during a tussle with Barry Burrell, his rival missed a gear going into a long right-hand bend and exited it slower than normal.
This caused Cox to clip his rear wheel, taking both riders off their bikes and into the litter amid clouds of dust.
Despite remounting and with minimal damage to the bike, Cox's race was run and he rode to the pit garage to retire.
