University hosts two-day paranormal event
Hundreds of people from around the country will gather at the University of Bath to discuss the paranormal this weekend.
The Claverton Down campus will host the two-day event Seriously Strange.
TV personalities, academics and researchers will be talking about subjects such as ghosts, crop circles, mediums and werewolves.
Organisers say there will also be live paranormal experimentation, a party and “an announcement that will change the field of paranormal investigation for good.”

This is a great opportunity for people in Bath to come along and find out about the seriously strange things that people experience. Everyone is welcome.”
The event marks the 30th anniversary of the national charity the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena, which is based in Frome.
Speakers will include Bradford on Avon-based Stephen Volk, writer of BBC1’s Ghost Watch and ITV1’s Afterlife, parapsychologist Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe and star of Fortean TV the Rev Lionel Fanthorpe.

“....the number 6 bus from Hackney Marshes....." The no 6 runs 24 hours from Aldwych to Willesden Garage in NW london - http://tinyurl.com/3unufv7 - Hackney is in the east. Perhpas you should get out of Bath more? Might broaden the mind, rather than the backside.....
".....grudge against Bath University?" Perhaps you should ask Robert McKie or Faith Butt that question....”

“what is the source of Anil's grudge against Bath University?"...............
Be patient Roger whilst I consult my Tarot Cards...........Ahh! I have a Joker and a Knave. We are doomed to suffer his nonsense forever. The number six bus from Hackney Marshes will be running late, whilst Bath's Railway Station is to be given a lift, or is that ramped up a gear... The Ace of Spades got in the way.”

“The only connection with the university is a commercial one. They're just hiring out rooms for a conference held by the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena, a London-based organisation (where I understand all sorts of strange people hang out). Incidentally, what is the source of Anil's grudge against Bath University?”

“This'll help get the country out of recession then.
Hopefully nobody will turn up, then I can creep in the back door and whisper "is anybody there?"”

“Absolutely joning. If it cost less to run, it would be better and affordable. Why should the VC get 260k per year? That's double what the a pro-VC earns; there are 3 of them. Get the feeling that's 2 more pro-VCs than needed?
Maybe that's why they are hosting events like this. Must be worrying to have all your earnings - 30k per overseas student on average - go on a salary bill for management.”
