The National Trust is holding a volunteer recruitment day at its Prior Park Landscape Garden attraction in Bath.

The event between 10.30am and 2.30pm on Saturday is aimed at anybody who has ever considered volunteering for the conservation charity.

Staff and existing volunteers will be on hand to share their experiences and explain the various roles on offer.

These include meeting and greeting visitors, and acting as garden guides, catering assistants, visitor experience volunteers and outdoor volunteers.

Visitor experience manager Katy Smith said: "We value each and every one of our volunteers for the unique contributions they make, and we're always looking for more people to join the team.

"The working atmosphere here is fantastic and everyone's always very welcoming.

"Volunteering can be extremely rewarding.

"Benefits range from learning new skills and improving your CV, to making friends and knowing you're making a unique contribution to our work."

Prior Park is an 18th-century landscape garden, formerly owned by Ralph Allen, which has been brought back to life by the trust.
