Travelcard launched to give passengers greater flexibility
A new travelcard which can be used on buses run by different operators in the Bath area has been launched.
The AvonRider card can be bought and used on most of the services operated by Abus, Bath Bus Company, Bakers Dolphin, Faresaver, First, Somerbus, and Wessex in the former Avon.

It can be bought on buses for £7.20 for an introductory period and used for unlimited travel on that day throughout B&NES, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
John Burch, spokesman for the West of England Bus Operators' Association, the organisation behind the roll-out of the new ticket, said: "The development of this multi-operator travelcard is significant.

"It is something that the operators have worked on together for the benefit of customers. It will mean that a customer can travel throughout the entire West of England region, using multiple different operators' services for one set price.
