Ton of cash is netted by tennis club
Members of the Lansdown Club – which hosts tennis, squash and croquet – have raised vital funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care and the Forever Friends Appeal thanks to its Centenary Tournament.
The event was staged to celebrate 100 years of the Lansdown's annual tennis tournament.

The Forever Friends Appeal is raising funds for state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities for the Premature Babies Unit at the Royal United Hospital in Bath and is a cause close to the club's heart. One of its members gave birth to twins prematurely at the hospital and the club was keen to support it.
Representatives from both charities were presented with cheques for £400 and £384 respectively last Friday.
The club would like to wish the charities every success in their fundraising activities.
